Arrowroot is a powdery product extracted from the roots of the arrowroot plant Maranta arundinaceae. Because arrowroot is a product of the West Indies, it has a rich history in the culture, and it's said that its very name was derived from the indigenous tribe of the Arawaks.
Historians say that the Arawak people used arrowroot powder to draw out poisonous toxins from those wounded by the tip of poisoned arrows.
Arrowroot is an excellent herbal remedy for treating various skin problems.

Sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda, has many uses in beauty and health. It can be used as a deodorant, toothpaste, and even in several home remedies for skin exfoliation.
Baking soda is amphoteric, meaning it can act as a base or acid. This characteristic makes it a helpful pH-neutralizing chemical compound. It corrects the skin's pH imbalance, which contributes to acne formation. Most importantly, baking soda has individual particles that are rounded and hard and also form fine powders, thus making it a mild exfoliant.

Salicylic acid is a naturally occurring beta hydroxy acid derived from the bark of a willow tree.
When applied topically, salicylic acid causes the epidermal cells to shed properly. Its primary function is to dissolve the cement that holds those cells adhered together in clogged pores. Salicylic acid also aids in exfoliation by eliminating surface skin cells and opening up pores. This reduces the number of pore blockages and breakouts on the skin.
Moreover, salicylic acid plays an important role in treating acne on the surface and when it penetrates the skin. The skin produces oil, and salicylic acid can dissolve some of the skin’s natural oils. It has also been found to help break down blackheads.

Charcoal is known to absorb 100 to 200 times its weight in impurities, making it an excellent natural ingredient to help purify and deep-clean skin.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA) is ECOCERT certified. Derived from coconut and palm oils, SLSA is a safe, skin-friendly cleanser that offers a rich lather without the irritation potential of some other good foamers. Because this surfactant has a large molecular size, it doesn't penetrate the skin or mucous membranes, so it does not cause skin irritation.

How to use powder wash:

1. Wet your face and hands with warm water.
2. Dispense a small portion of powder into the palm of your hand. Mix the powder with the water on your hands to create a lather.
3. Apply the lather with your fingertips in a circular motion. Begin at your forehead and work down your face to your neck, avoiding your eyes and mouth.
4. Rinse your face and neck thoroughly with warm water. If desired, follow this with a cold rinse.

A tiny portion of powder is enough to create enough lather, making this powder wash very economical.

Enjoy your clean, young, and bright face skin!:)
